Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy’s TGL is Coming to Sky Sports in 2025

Sky Sports has secured a two-year broadcasting deal for TGL presented by SoFi, the innovative team golf league founded by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy's TMRW Sports. This agreement grants Sky Sports exclusive rights to broadcast all TGL matches live across the UK, Ireland, Germany, Italy, and New Zealand for the 2025 and 2026 seasons.

TGL is set to revolutionize the golfing experience by combining advanced technology with team-based competition. The league will feature six teams, each comprising four PGA Tour players, competing in a series of matches held in a purpose-built arena in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The inaugural season is scheduled to commence on January 7, 2025, following a one-year delay due to storm damage at the Sofi Arena.

The matches are designed for prime-time viewing, with two-hour broadcasts slated for Monday and Tuesday nights in the USA. Sky Sports' coverage will allow European audiences to enjoy these events live, bringing the excitement of TGL to a broader international fanbase. Notable golfers participating in the league include Justin Thomas, Collin Morikawa, Matt Fitzpatrick, and co-founders Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods.

This partnership underscores Sky Sports' commitment to delivering premier sporting events to its subscribers. By securing the rights to TGL, Sky Sports continues to expand its diverse portfolio of sports coverage, offering fans access to innovative and engaging content. The collaboration also reflects the growing interest in modernizing traditional sports through technology and new formats, aiming to attract a younger and more diverse audience to the game of golf.

As the January 2025 launch approaches, anticipation is building for TGL's debut. Golf enthusiasts can look forward to a unique viewing experience that blends the sport's rich traditions with cutting-edge technology, all accessible through Sky Sports' comprehensive coverage.
